After the completion of the eliminations in December 2011 in Kiev, Euro 2012 groups are drawn inlcuding those playing in Wroclaw. There are going to be at least three matches in the capital of Lower Silesia, maybe more.

'Each group will be divided between two cities, each of them hosting equal number of matches. As far as other matches are concerned, Wroclaw has been taken into consideration', says Juliusz Gluski, the spokesman of Euro 2012 Polska partnership.

Tickets only on the Web

Ticket price will be established by the UEFA, the sole owner of the tournament. As of now, it's impossible to say if they will be more expensive than the tickets for the matches in Austria and Switzerland. Match pass can be purchased only via the website.

'First, we register those who want to buy the ticket, it's going to be a kind of a preliminary booking. After that, they undergo security verification. We don't want the spectators with a stadium ban as we need to be 100% sure that Euro stadiums are safe', explains Juliusz Gluski, adding that the booking opens in spring 2011. Tickets can be purchased only on the UEFA.com

Three Lower Silesian centres count

All contracts with the hotels and lodging centres for the footballers have already been signed. UEFA is going to publish the official catalogue of the lodgings recommended for the championships' participants. Lower Silesian centres may be among them.

'We fight for three centres: Cieplice, Jelenia Gora and Trzebieszowice. The two former have already been accepted, however, Trzebieszowice is still not certain', reveals Andrzej Padewski, chairman of the Lower Silesian Football Association (DZPN).

'The centre in Trzebieszowice satisfies all the exigencies but doesn't have a football pitch. Building a pitch is way easier than a hotel, though. We have to convince UEFA that Trzebieszowice can handle this by September'

'When a place doesn't appear in the official UEFA catalogue, this doesn't mean it can't be chosen by the team's technical director as it's not the UEFA who decides where the team lives but all depends on the negotiations with the place's owner', says Padewski.

English – indispensable

5,000 volunteers will be needed, half of this number in Poland and half in Ucraine. 500 of them will work in Wroclaw.

'Knowledge of English language is essential, the more languages the better. Age is of no importance as long as they're adults.
Willingness to help, enthusiasm and positive attitude to football are what counts. Volunteering experience doesn't matter, especially that it's going to be the first event of this kind in Poland', explains Julisz Gluski from Euro 2012 Polska partnership.

In November, we'll get to know the mascot of the championships. The organisers don't want to reveal anything in this matter.

'It's got have nothing to do with the blossom but it's going to express strong emotions about football. I think both Poland and Ucraine will like it'
